CROQUET CANADA
INSTRUCTIONAL CLINIC POLICY
ELIGIBILITY
Clubs must be members in good standing to be eligible for Croquet Canada clinic coordination. The clinic sponsor fees will be given on a first come, first served basis with new and beginner-oriented clubs taking priority.
COMMUNICATION
The CC Clinic Chairman will contact each club in April and May to ascertain their interest in hosting a Croquet Canada sponsored clinic. Information about the availability of sponsored clinics should also be submitted to THE WICKET TIMES.
INSTRUCTORS
The Croquet Canada Clinic Chairman and the Board will identify individuals who are qualified and interested in coaching clinics.
CROQUET CANADA SPONSORED AMOUNT
At the beginning of each season, Croquet Canada will decide how many clinics it can support in that fiscal year and what the sponsored fee will be. For 2000, Croquet Canada will sponsor $100 toward the fee for an instructor for one day clinics (at least 5 hours of instruction). Two day clinics can also be offered. For 2000, Croquet Canada will sponsor a total of FOUR days of clinics = $400.
CLUB FEES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
If the club is interested in hosting a clinic, the club must guarantee at least an additional $100 to the instructor. If the total number of students taught in one day exceeds 10, the club should pay the instructor an additional $10 for each additional student over 10. The club will be asked to provide meals and overnight accommodations for the instructor if necessary.
Croquet Canada will then attempt to coordinate with a qualified instructor to visit the club on the agreed date(s). Croquet Canada cannot guarantee that an instructor will accept the clinic based upon the dates or expenses involved.
